‘Alpha’ locks release date as July 10: Vishwambhara may skip it

Alia Bhatt’s long-delayed spy thriller “Alpha” has finally locked a new release date. The film, produced by Yash Raj Films, is part of the studio’s expanding spy universe and features Alia Bhatt in the lead role.

The production house officially announced that the film will hit theatres on July 10, 2026. Sharing the update on social media, YRF posted: “#ALPHA 10.07.2026.”

“Alpha” also stars Sharvari Wagh in a key role and is notable for being the first female-led spy drama in the YRF Spy Universe.

The announcement has created a potential clash with “Vishwambhara,” the upcoming fantasy film starring Chiranjeevi. Although the makers of “Vishwambhara” have not officially announced a release date, industry circles say they were considering July 10 for its theatrical debut.

With “Alpha” now confirming the date, it is likely that the team behind “Vishwambhara” will opt for a different release window to avoid a direct box-office clash.
