Sankranthi 2026 is set to be a highly competitive festive season, with as many as five films gearing up for release. Leading the race is Prabhas’s The Raja Saab, which is scheduled to hit theatres on January 9, 2026.
At a recent event, Prabhas won hearts with his gracious words, expressing his wish that every film releasing during the Sankranthi festival should turn out to be a success. The pan-Indian star also stated that seniors should always come first, specifically mentioning that Chiranjeevi’s film should do well ahead of others.
Reacting to Prabhas’s thoughtful and humble gesture, director Anil Ravipudi praised the actor’s magnanimity.
“Prabhas is currently the biggest pan-Indian star. I was truly bowled over by his magnanimous nature. Considering his stardom and stature, he need not think about other films, yet he does so because of his great character. I was thrilled when he said that seniors come first and wished success to films like Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu. Hats off to Prabhas,” said Anil Ravipudi.
Anil Ravipudi is currently directing Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, starring Megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead role. The film is slated for a theatrical release on January 12, 2026.
