Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s new film, “Arjun S/O Vyjayanthi,” has joined the summer race. The makers today announced April 18 as its theatrical date.
The film has Nandamuri Kalyan Ram playing the son of a police officer played by veteran actress Vijayashanthi. She reprises her Vyjayanthi character from 1991’s Kartavyam, which won her a national award. “Arjun S/O Vyjayanthi” is an action drama with a mother-son sentiment angle. Directed by Pradeep Chilukuri and produced by Ashok Vardhan Muppa and Sunil Balusu under the banners of Ashoka Creations and NTR Arts, the film has already generated immense buzz.
Positioned as the first big commercial entertainer of this month, the film aims to capitalize on the holiday season. Saiee Manjrekar played opposite Kalyan Ram as his love interest, and their duet “Nayaldi” was released recently.
The film has actors like Sohail Khan, Srikanth, and Animal Prithviraj in key roles. Music is by B. Ajaneesh Loknath.
