Supreme Court’s decission of making National anthem mandatory before the start of the film has not gone well with many. Some citizens are venting their anger on the social media. Actor Arvind Swamy is also puzzled with SC’s decission.
He tweeted, “With all due respects, Why should the national anthem be played before the start of a movie? Can anyone explain? I can understand playing the anthem where the country is represented or like a big sporting event with tens of thousands of ppl… Exits in theatres or in any place with so many people inside should not be blocked… anthem or no anthem, hope they review this decision. 1997, Uphaar, a very, very tragic incident… exits blocked… pl do not allow or encourage blocking of exits in public places/gatherings.”
Will this start a movement and will Supreme Court review its order, we will have to wait and watch. Arvind Swamy will be seen in Ram Charan starrer Dhruva. He plays the role of a sophisticated villain in the film.
