Ashu Reddy has urged media houses, content creators, and social media platforms to refrain from publishing or circulating any defamatory content about her, following a restraint order from the High Court of Telangana.
The development comes after an NRI, Dharmendra, filed a case alleging that she took over Rs 9 crore from him over time on the promise of marriage and later cheated him. The matter is currently under legal scrutiny.
Addressing the issue, Ashu Reddy stated that a large amount of unverified and hurtful content has been circulating across television channels, news websites, YouTube, and social media platforms.
“The matter is presently before the courts, and I believe it should be tested and decided there, not on front pages or trending feeds,” she shared.
Citing the court’s directive, she added, “The Hon’ble High Court of Telangana, by an order dated 29.04.2026 in Civil Revision Petition No.1346 of 2026, has restrained concerned media houses, content creators, and platforms such as YouTube from publishing or disseminating any defamatory content concerning me. A copy of the order is available on the High Court’s website.”
She clarified that she is not against responsible reporting but requested that her privacy, dignity, and reputation.
Ashu Reddy also thanked those who have already complied with the order and removed content, urging others to follow it in both letter and spirit.
