Nagarjuna Akkineni and Naga Chaitanya starrer ‘Bangarraju’ is releasing as announced earlier on Jan 14, 2022, with premieres on Jan 13 in the USA. Despite new curbs in Andhra Pradesh
There were speculations that Nagarjuna might pull out his film after the AP government announced 50% occupancy in cinema halls. But there is no change.
‘Bangarraju’ is the solo Sankranthi film that has popular stars in the lead. The other two releases – Hero and Rowdy Boys – are debut vehicles for Ashok Galla and Ashish respectively.
In Andhra Pradesh, the Sankranthi festival is a big season. Family entertainers never fail at the box office during this season. So, Nagarjuna doesn’t want to miss this chance despite new restrictions. Plus, the film doesn’t have much competition to worry about. It will have a long run at the theaters.
