‘Baahubali 2’ will be the first Indian film to have highest count of Imax screens. The film’s production company has teamed up with Imax and Inox to screen the movie in all its locations in digital Imax format.
Even in USA, the distributors are planning to release the movie in about 50 Imax screens. “The true IMAX format will be released in about 30 to 50 IMAX locations across USA,” said the USA distributor.
Imax screens provide more revenue to the distributors and producers than the regular multiplex screens. Since the movie has some stunning visual effects and high-ended graphical action episodes, it makes sense to release in Imax format.
‘Baahubali 2’ will be hitting the screens worldwide on 28th April. S S Rajamouli directs ‘Baahubali 2’ and it stars Prabhas, Rana, Anushka, Tamannah and Ramya Krishna in the lead roles. Arca Media has produced it.
