Bhanupriya once dominated the South Indian film industry with her virtuosic classical dance abilities. She is best known for her starring roles in classic movies like “Sithara” and “Swarna Kamalam.”
She is part of many blockbusters as well. After her husband’s recent passing, the senior actress began showing signs of Alzheimer’s.
“A couple of years ago, I noticed that I was gradually forgetting things. It’s clear that health is deteriorating. That’s why I stopped acting in movies and scrapped my plans to open a dance studio. My current focus is on improving my memory and overall health,” Bhanupriya said during a recent interview.
She is currently residing in Chennai with her daughter.
