Bhumika Chawla has been trying to bag new films but all she’s getting vadina or akka roles in Tollywood. She says that writers need to write challenging roles for actresses like her who are in their 40’s. The world has changed and audiences have evolved. So, filmmakers should also brush aside their old-thinking, she said.
She asked the writers and directors to get inspiration from Bollywood. In Bollywood, actresses like Tabu are getting bold roles. Bhumika said she’s game for doing such characters if the story is strong.
Bhumika has returned to Telugu films with ‘MCA’, ‘UTurn’, and ‘Savyasaachi’. She also acted in Balakrishna’s ‘Ruler’.
