Birthday star Vijay Deverakonda pins hopes on three crucial films

Today marks the birthday of Vijay Deverakonda, an actor who once appeared destined to become a major pan-Indian star. However, a string of poor script choices and consecutive flops have pushed him into a difficult phase, making it crucial for him to deliver a blockbuster and reclaim his position.

Despite his recent setbacks, producers and directors continue to place immense faith in Vijay’s talent, screen presence, and star charisma.

He is currently juggling two films simultaneously. One is Ranabaali, a period drama set in the British-era Rayalaseema backdrop, directed by Rahul Sankrityan, known for films like Taxiwaala and Shyam Singha Roy. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers.

The second project is Rowdy Janardhana, a romantic action drama directed by Ravi Kiran Kola of Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru fame, and bankrolled by Dil Raju’s SVC.

While “Ranabaali” is scheduled for release in September, “Rowdy Janardhana” is expected to hit theatres in December 2026 or early 2027. Production on both films is progressing rapidly.

Apart from these projects, Vijay Deverakonda has also launched another ambitious film with Shouryuv, the director of Hi Nanna. The movie is expected to begin regular shooting soon.

These three films are considered highly crucial for Vijay Deverakonda’s career comeback and future standing in Telugu cinema.
