As “Pushpa 2” marks one year since its theatrical premiere, the tragic memories of the stampede at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad remain fresh. The incident claimed a woman’s life and left her son, Sritej, critically injured.
Recently, Sritej’s father, Bhaskar, alleged that Allu Arjun’s manager has stopped responding to his calls and that the promised financial support for monthly treatment expenses has been irregular.
Responding to these claims, producer and Allu Arjun’s close associate, Bunny Vas, clarified the situation.
“There are clear guidelines set by industry heads like Dil Raju garu regarding how the funds should be allocated — what portion must go to medical needs and what should support the family. We have been strictly following those guidelines. If the family feels the support is insufficient, they can approach the industry committee and we will abide by any decision taken,” he stated.
The situation continues to be sensitive, with hopes that both sides find a resolution that prioritizes the child’s recovery. It is also said that Allu Arjun has almost paid Rs 3 crore so far towards SriTej’s treatment as well as for regular expenses.
