“Aay,” featuring Narne Nithiin and Nayan Sarika, opened in theaters today. However, paid-premiere shows began one day before the release date. “Aay” garnered favorable reviews and responses from the audience.
Anji K. Maniputhra, a debutante, directed the film, while Bunny Vas and Vidya Koppineedi produced it. Bunny Vas, the producer, is ecstatic with the response.
“Anji has worked on multiple films as a team member on Anil Ravipudi’s directing crew. When he told the story to me, I laughed nonstop for two and a half hours. When we went to watch the movie at the Vishwanath Theatre in Kukatpally, the person sitting opposite me couldn’t stop laughing. Then I thought my judgment turned out to be true,” Bunny Vas remarked.
“Anji created all of the characters in the film. The story takes place in a small village near Amalapuram, where Anji grew up. The film contains a lot of comedy, but this alone does not satisfy the audience. When I asked Anji to add something more, he added an emotional element to the story, and the film concluded on a wonderful note. We carefully analyzed our decision to cast Vinod Kumar,” he explained.
He also praised Narne Nithiin for being honest about his talents and weaknesses. “Despite coming from a well-known film family, he made no demands for changes to the film. He followed the script. He has a brilliant command of what works in cinema. He is a grounded person with sound judgment,” Bunny Vas stated.
