Changeover for ‘Peddi’ begins, declares Ram Charan
Ram Charan has been working on director Buchi Babu’s “Peddi” for several months now. The shoot has reached its mid-point. Last year, Ram Charan hired a special physical trainer to transform himself for the role of Peddi and grew a beard and long hair to embody the rugged, rustic character.
Now, he’s pushing the transformation further to attain an even more menacing physical appearance.
Sharing a new picture from the gym, where he’s seen sweating it out to achieve the desired look, Ram Charan announced that the changeover has officially begun. With a ponytail, a drenched body, and bulked-up muscles, he looks intense and powerful. Showing off his strong triceps, Ram Charan treated fans to this photo on social media this morning.
Ram Charan wrote: “Changeover for @peddimovie begin!! Pure grit. True joy.”
“Peddi” is a sports drama set against the backdrop of the Uttarandhra region. The film features an ensemble cast including Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu. Janhvi Kapoor plays the female lead.
With music by A.R. Rahman and cinematography by Rathnavelu, “Peddi” has already generated significant hype. Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, in association with Sukumar Writings and Mythri Movie Makers, the film is slated for release on March 27, 2026.
