Megastar Chiranjeevi recently delivered a massive Sankranthi hit with “Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu.” The film marked a new milestone in his career, becoming his first to gross over $4.5 million overseas, including North America and other international markets. Audiences especially enjoyed his comic timing and the film’s strong fun quotient.
Following such success, fans are curious whether Chiranjeevi will continue with light-hearted entertainers or return to full-blown action dramas. Addressing this, the megastar clarified that his next project, to be directed by Bobby, will strike a balance: an entertainer presented in a distinctly mass avatar.
“It will have entertainment, but in Bobby’s style and in a more mass way,” Chiranjeevi said during a recent media interaction.
The untitled film, produced by KVN Productions, is expected to go on floors in March or April 2026, with plans for a Sankranthi 2027 release. Another prominent star will be seen in a key role.
Chiranjeevi also observed that today’s audiences are gravitating towards films that either offer a strong adrenaline rush or pure entertainment, especially when it comes to senior actors. Keeping this in mind, the megastar appears to be consciously choosing subjects that connect strongly with theatrical audiences.
