Cops identify actress who abused a traffic policeman

On Saturday, a Telugu film starlet driving an expensive car was involved in a traffic violation and a confrontation with a traffic home guard. The Banjara Hills police have discovered who the actor was. Sowmya Janu was an actress and TV anchor, who involved in this case.

The actress justified her actions by explaining she had to attend a TV program urgently. The car was stopped by a traffic guard on duty because the driver was going in the wrong direction. After the police officer told her to move away, she reportedly verbally attacked and physically touched him.

She caused a disturbance in public and threatened to sue the police officer. The video depicting a woman abusing and getting into a confrontation with the home guard gained widespread attention online.

Sowmya Janu stated that the police had not questioned her yet.
