CV Anand issues an apology for remarks against the national media

As we reported earlier, the Telangana government has landed in defence mode after going offensive in the actor Allu Arjun’s controversy. On Sunday, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was quick to post on social media condemning the attack on Allu Arjun’s residence. And the Hyderabad City Police Commissioner also had to backtrack on his remarks.

A video of Commissioner of Police CV Anand accusing national media of buying out went viral. After the uproar, CV Anand apologized for his remarks.

The entire government machinery, including political leaders and police officers, overreached in their attempt to corner Allu Arjun.

apologise for losing my cool when asked continuous provoking questions on ongoing investigations and making unnecessary general remarks about national media . I feel bad that I got provoked and it was wrong and should have kept calm. I withdraw my remarks wholeheartedly,” he wrote.
