Nandamuri Balakrishna’s “Daaku Maharaaj” posted a million dollars gross on the first day, inclusive of premiere show numbers, and made an impression that it will become the highest-grossing movie in Nandamuri Balakrishna’s career. But the joy is short-lived.
“Daaku Maharaaj” lost its momentum after the first day. The Telugu audiences in the USA have now preferred Venkatesh’s Sankranthiki Vasthunnam. So, the Balakrishna starrer will have tough days ahead.
The team needs to regain momentum the following weekend to remain competitive.
Directed by Bobby Kolli, the mass actioner received low ratings from critics. The TeluguCinema.com critic in his review termed the film as quite routine except for the stylish first half. As things stand today, the film is struggling at the North American box office.
