As expected, NTR showed his box office stamina once again. His new film, “Devara,” opened in theaters throughout the world on Friday and grossed a huge amount on its first day. In some locations, it ranks second only to “RRR.” It was a tremendous opening.
According to early estimates, the film grossed Rs 145 crore on its opening day worldwide.
In the Ceded (Rayalasaeema) region, it received Rs 10.40 crore (share), the second highest opening on the first day behind “RRR.” In Telangana, it roughly collected Rs 19 Cr (share), the record in NTR’s career.
The first day’s collection in North America (including premiere programs) is around Rs 25 crore (gross).
While the film had a near-record opening in Telugu states and one of the best-ever numbers in North America, “Devara” did not perform well in Tamil, Malayalam, or Hindi. The North Indian gross is approximately Rs 8 crore. The Tamil and Malayalam versions collected too low.
