Despite corona wave, new films hitting the screens

Despite the announcement from the president of the Telangana exhibitors sector, theaters are continuing to screen films. Multiplexes and single screens are exhibiting them least bother about the turnout of the audiences or the corona second wave.

Several new films hit the screens today. Small-budgeted flicks like ‘Shukra’, and ‘Kathanika’ are this weekend’s releases. Besides these two Telugu films, two Hollywood movies -‘Mortal Kombat’ and Anthony Hopkins starrer ‘The Father’ have come into the theaters as well.

Lately, the footfalls registering at the cinema halls are almost nil. But theatre owners are refusing to shut them. The government has only imposed a night curfew, it has not specified about shutting the halls.

The Andhra Pradesh scenario is no different. The theaters are running with the new releases.
