On Day 1, Nani and Nagarjuna starrer ‘Devadas’ took decent openings at Telugu states. The film raked in approximately Rs 4.75 Cr share from AP and Telangana. Its worldwide share also touched Rs 7 Cr which is pretty good amount for a medium range movie.
The comic multi-starrer is likely to have a good weekend collection going by the trend. The film is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies and directed by Sriram Aditya. Nani’s comic timing is the main highlight of this movie.
Though Mani Ratnam’s ‘Nawab’ got fairly good ratings, the film didn’t get openings due to the fact that Mani Ratnam’s previous bombed miserably and all the cast members are Tamil actors only. The good word may help the movie over the weekend.
