The Telugu version of “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” aka “Dhurandhar 2” has finally hit theaters and opened on a terrific note. Though the film premiered worldwide on March 18, its Telugu version faced delays due to pending post-production work, with premieres getting cancelled and releases pushed by a couple of days.
The makers strategically held back the Telugu release, waiting for the Hindi version to generate strong word-of-mouth. The plan seems to have paid off.
From the noon shows itself, the Telugu version took a flying start. By evening, theaters across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana reported packed houses. While the Hindi version, led by Ranveer Singh, is already dominating the box office, the Telugu version has now joined the momentum.
Despite Pawan Kalyan’s “Ustaad Bhagat Singh” running in theaters, “Dhurandhar 2” is witnessing strong demand in the Telugu states.
With Sunday advantage coming up, the film is expected to post even bigger numbers. Overall, “Dhurandhar 2”, starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, is enjoying a dream run in the Telugu market as well.
