Actor Allu Arjun did not appear in person before the Nampally court on Monday in connection with the stampede case linked to the premiere show of “Pushpa 2”. The court had earlier directed him to attend the hearing in person on June 22.
Instead, the actor’s legal team appeared on his behalf and informed the court that he was unable to attend as he was shooting a crucial sequence for his upcoming film “Raaka” in Mumbai.
Following the submission, the court adjourned the matter to July 6. The judge also directed that a memo be filed explaining the reason for the actor’s absence.
The case stems from a stampede that occurred during the premiere show of “Pushpa 2” in 2024. A large crowd had gathered to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun, leading to a tragic incident in which a woman lost her life and her son sustained serious injuries.
Along with the management of Sandhya Theatre and several others, Allu Arjun was named as an accused in the case, with his name appearing as A11 in the charge sheet. Notably, the actor has not attended any of the hearings in person so far.
