Does Pooja Hegde need to slash remuneration?

Pooja Hegde’s name spells magic at the box-office. No wonder that she’s currently the reigning queen of Tollywood. With several blockbusters in her kitty, the beautiful actress has become the highest-paid actress. 

Despite demanding more than Rs 2 crore per movie, she is being chased by the producers asking her to allot dates to their productions. At present, she has paired up with Prabhas and Akhil Akkineni in ‘Jaan’ and ‘Most Eligible Bachelor’ respectively.

However, Pooja Hegde may now need to slash her remuneration a bit due to the prevailing conditions. Trade pundits say the movie business, which has already been affected badly as the theaters remained shut and shootings are stalled amid lockdown, might see a further slump in the coming months. 

All the top male stars are asked to reduce their remunerations. Among the heroines, she will be facing a huge cut. Pooja Hegde has delivered hits such as ‘Duvvada Jagannadham’, ‘Gaddhalakonda Ganesh’, ‘Housefull 4’ (Hindi), ‘Aravindha Sametha’, and ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramloo’.
