After months of confusion, the Andhra Pradesh government today increased the ticket prices of cinema halls in the state. A new Government Order (GO) was issued today.
As per the GO, single screens can sell the tickets at ₹125, and ₹150 is the maximum price for multiplexes in urban areas in the state. Plus, GST can be added. The minimum and maximum price in rural areas is also increased. Rs 250 has been fixed for recliner seats.
Big-budgeted movies with more than Rs 100 crore budget can get additional ticket pricing but at least 20% of those movies should be filmed in Andhra Pradesh.
The new GO would help all the upcoming biggies starting with ‘Radhe Shyam’, which releases this Friday.
As soon as GO was issued, Tollywood celebrities including megastar Chiranjeevi thanked Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
