Good demand for Karthi's next movies

After failures like Mani Ratnam’s ‘Cheliyaa’ and ‘Kaashmora’, bright days are here for Karthi. The good times began slowly last year itself.  ‘Khakee’ became a profitable venture.But this year has turned out to be a huge blessing for Karthi in Telugu. His ‘Khaidi’ has become the most profitable venture in recent times in the dubbed movies segment.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the movie has given its distributors a bang for their buck.  Its theatrical rights were valued at Rs 3.5 Cr due to low buzz. Ducking all negative perceptions, it has gone on to be a special film.

With this, Karthi’s future projects will sell better in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Jithu Joseph’s drama with him and Jyothika playing siblings will be his next outing.
