In a case involving an attack on a journalist, veteran actor Manchu Mohan Babu was unable to secure anticipatory bail. The Telangana High Court on Monday dismissed his petition for anticipatory bail, even though the actor sought it based on his current health condition.
Mohan Babu’s counsel had submitted to the court that he was suffering from health problems related to heart and nerves, and he also stated that Mohan Babu is not absconding and he is currently in Tirupati.
After dismissing the petition for anticipatory bail, the High Court asked him to apply for regular bail in the lower court.
Mohan Babu is facing charges of attempted murder in an attack on TV9 reporter. Mohan Babu recently visited the reporter in the hospital and offered his apologies to the journalist.
