This Independence Day (August 15), we will be witnessing four films competing with each other. They are Mr. Bachchan, Double iSmart, Aay, and Thangalan.
All these films have upped the promotions, and the makers are going all out to gain the attention of the audiences. Harish Shankar’s “Mr. Bachchan,” starring Ravi Teja, has generated significant buzz due to its promotional content. The trailer was entertaining.
Ram Pothineni and Puri Jagannadh’s “Double iSmart,” the sequel to the blockbuster “iSmart Shankar,” also successfully managed to create buzz with its songs and trailers. Ram Pothineni and his team are actively promoting it.
The main competition will be between “Double iSmart” and “Mr. Bachchan”.
After a long time, Vikram’s dubbed movie has generated favorable buzz. Pa Ranjith of “Kabali” fame has directed “Thangalan,” a movie starring Vikram and Malavika Mohanan. The KGF region serves as the backdrop for the film. This dubbed film also receives a good number of theater screenings.
Last but not least, “Aay,” a film starring Narne Nithiin, NTR’s brother-in-law, is premiering on August 15th. The trailer was fun. The overall setting is colorful.
If all of these films manage to lure audiences to theaters, it will be a boon to the theatrical business. Telugu cinema needs a push right now.
