I wanted to play a wife role: Dimple Hayathi

Dimple Hayathi, known for her glamorous screen image and bold photo shoots, has largely been associated with modern, stylish roles in films like Ravi Teja’s Khiladi and Varun Tej’s Gaddalakonda Ganesh. However, she takes a refreshing turn in “Bhartha Mahasahayulaku Wignyapthi,” where she is seen in a traditional wife’s role.

Speaking about the film, her character, and working with Ravi Teja for the second time, Dimple shared that the role offered her something new. “I liked the story the moment director Kishore Tirumala narrated it to me. After hearing it, I wanted to play the character of Balamani, the wife in the film. I had already played a modern girl opposite Ravi Teja earlier, and this role felt like a fresh change for me,” she said.

Calling it a pleasant experience, Dimple added, “This is my second film with Ravi Teja, and it is always a pleasure working with him.”

She also hinted at an interesting twist in the film. “There is a surprise element in the story, which audiences will have to experience on the big screen,” she revealed. On a personal note, Dimple shared that she has fond memories of the festival season. “I have been celebrating Sankranthi in Chennai with my grandparents since childhood,” she said.

Talking about her upcoming projects, Dimple revealed that she is also part of “Bhogi,” starring Sharwanand, which is slated to be her next release in 2026.
