From Ashwini Dutt to Puri Jagannadh, several Telugu filmmakers have tried to introduce Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor in Telugu. In fact, Puri Jagannadh has almost convinced Janhvi to act in his current film opposite Vijay Deverakonda but the young pretty actress backed out due to clash of dates with other Hindi productions.
Janhvi Kapoor, however, is now willing to debut in Telugu and will accommodate her dates. She is said to be deeply disappointed by Bollywood producers for releasing her movies on OTT platforms bypassing theaters. First, it was ‘Ghost Stories’ that streamed on OTT directly and now ‘Gunjan Saxena’ that is going direct digital release.
There is also talk that here next film titled ‘Roohi Afzana’ will not find theatrical release. Janhvi is not happy with the way her career is going in Bollywood. No wonder that she is now looking South debut.
Moreover, Deepika Padukone signing Prabhas’s new film must have inspired to sign a Telugu biggie now. Who could be that lucky producer? Her mother Sridevi ruled the South Indian film industry for more than a decade.
