With the huge success of ‘RRR,’ Rajamouli established himself globally. The film also made history by winning the Academy Award for Best Original Song. It is the first Telugu film to win an Academy Award.
Meanwhile, all eyes are on his upcoming film, which will star Mahesh Babu. Rajamouli described the film, tentatively mentioned as #SSMB29, as a globe-trotting adventure in the vein of the Indiana Jones series.
K Vijayendra Prasad, his father and frequent collaborator, is currently scripting the story.
Vijayendra Prasad discussed the film in depth. “My script should be finished by July. It will be an adventure-action drama, with lots of emotions, like Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981). We’re leaving the climax open-ended, which opens the door to a sequel,” he said.
The film’s production is expected to begin near the end of this year.
