KP Chowdhary, a Telugu producer who released the Telugu version of Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’, was arrested in a drugs case. Cyberabad police on Tuesday took him into custody after finding huge quantity of cocaine in his possession.
Chowdhury was caught red-handed while he was on his way to supply the drugs to his clients near his residence in Rajendra Nagar in Hyderabad. 90 sachets of cocaine weighing 82.75 grams were recovered from him. During the investigation, it was discovered that he had recently procured 100 sachets of cocaine from Goa.
He hails from Khammam district. He also distributed films like ‘Sardar Gabbar Singh’, ‘Seetamma Vaaktilo Sirimalle Chettu’, and ‘Arjun Suravaram’.
He reportedly told police that he turned to drug sales due to financial losses.
