Kalyani Priyadarshan says ‘Lokah 2’ will begin in September

Actress Kalyani Priyadarshan has confirmed that the sequel to her blockbuster film “Lokah” will go on floors in September. The original film emerged as a sensational hit in Malayalam cinema and was later dubbed into Telugu, where it also performed well.

“Lokah” became an all-time industry hit in Malayalam, surpassing previous records, including those of films starring Mohanlal. The film’s unique blend of mythological elements and superhero storytelling struck a chord with audiences across regions.

Speaking at a recent event, Kalyani Priyadarshan revealed that pre-production work is currently underway. “It will start somewhere in September. The pre-work and script writing are being done. I will definitely be part of the second part,” she said.

With Lokah being regarded as India’s highest-grossing female-led project, expectations are naturally sky-high for the sequel. Fans are eagerly waiting to see how the story expands in “Lokah 2.”
