It is now official. Producers are making a beeline to OTT offices to clinch a deal with them for direct digital release bypassing theatrical window. About seven Indian films have already announced their release plans on OTT platforms, setting a new trend.
Nobody knows when will theaters resume their operations. Hence, despite strong resistance from the theater owners, producers are selling off the rights to OTT platforms. Prime Video will stream Keerthy Suresh starrer ‘Penguin’ globally on June 19.
