Model and budding actress Kushitha Kallapu urged the media not to paint her and other youngsters as drug addicts just because they went to a party in a pub. Kushitha Kallapu is a popular Instagrammer with more than four lakh followers.
The Hyderabadi model was present at the pub in Raddisson Hotel when the Hyderabad police raided on a tip-off about drugs.
“I went to the pub and partied. As we group of friends were leaving the pub, the police came and searched. We were just partying. Don’t group everyone as drug consumers. Just because one or two people may have been involved, treating all the youngsters as drug addicts at the pub is wrong,” she posted a video on her Instagram Stories.
Kushitha Kallapu has acted in music videos and is also featured in a couple of popular commercials.
The Hyderabad police on Sunday raided a pub in Banjara Hills. 140 people were detained. Several celebrities including Niharika Konidela, Rahul Sipliganj, and others were spotted at the pub. Kushitha Kallapu was seen there.
She urged the media to think about their families before branding everyone as drug consumers.
