Line cleared for Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan!

Thalapathy Vijay’s “Jana Nayagan,” widely seen as his final film before entering active politics, is finally back on track for a theatrical release. The film, dubbed in Telugu as “Jana Nayakudu,” was originally slated to hit screens on January 9, 2026, but ran into censor issues and subsequent legal hurdles that stalled its release.

The roadblock has now been eased. KVN Productions, the film’s production house, has withdrawn its petition filed in the Madras High Court against the CBFC, choosing instead to have the film reviewed by the revision committee for certification.

Directed by H. Vinoth, the political action drama features Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol in key roles, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The film reportedly faced objections over certain scenes involving violence and political references, leading to prolonged delays.

According to sources, a final decision from the revision committee is expected within a week, paving the way for a February release, likely around the 19th, if all formalities are completed on time.
