“Mad Square,” starring Narne Nithiin, Ram Nithin, Sangeeth Shobhan and Vishnu Oi, has emerged as a resounding success, exceeding expectations at the box office.
Director Kalyan Shankar, elated by the audience’s response, shared his thoughts with the media: “I’ve visited several theaters, and seeing the audience enjoy the film is an incredible feeling. While MAD resonated strongly with the youth, I’m especially thrilled that Mad Square is reaching beyond that—families are now flocking to theatres as well. I never anticipated this overwhelming love from the audience.”

Addressing criticism about the second half being dull, Shankar clarified that this feedback isn’t coming from general audiences.
“People are loving the comedy of Sunil and Muralidhar Gowd in the latter half,” he noted.
Looking ahead, Kalyan Shankar revealed his next project—an exciting superhero film with Ravi Teja. “It will happen very soon. I love superhero movies, but the result won’t be a science fiction film—it’s a fiction-based story.”
The director also expressed gratitude for the industry-wide recognition he has been receiving: “It feels wonderful to get calls and appreciation from some of the biggest names in the industry,” he added.
