Mahesh Babu is heavily investing his time and energy on the Tamil version of ‘Spyder’ to create a market for his films in Tamilnadu. He is now in Chennai doing promotional interviews and TV shows.
The film’s audio was also launched in Chennai few days back. ‘Spyder’ marks the entry of Mahesh in Tamil films as the film was simultaneously shot in Telugu and Tamil languages. Couple of lead cast members for the Tamil version is also different from the Telugu version.
Being directed by A R Murugadoss, who is Kollywood’s leading director, the movie is an action drama in the backdrop of spying activities of Indian Intelligence Bureau. The Tamil theatrical rights were snapped up by Lyca Productions for whopping Rs 23 cr. If the film clicks in Tamil, Mahesh Babu’s dream would be fulfilled. Hence, he is focussing more on Tamil version’s promotions.
‘Spyder’ is the most-awaited movie of this season in South India. Rakul Preet Singh has played as main heroine. It is set for 27th September release.
