Anupama Parameswaran appears as a middle-class girl sporting dental braces, deeply in love with Sanju, played by Viraj Ashwin. However, things take a dramatic turn when an NRI woman named Mareechaka, portrayed by Regina Cassandra, enters his life and begins bonding closely with him, triggering jealousy and insecurity in Anupama’s character.
What initially appears to be a triangle love story soon transforms into a gripping death mystery, with Anupama approaching the police for answers. Who exactly is Mareechaka? Was she murdered, or was it suicide? Did Mareechaka even truly exist? The trailer cleverly leaves several questions unanswered, making the narrative all the more riveting.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Satish Kasetty, the film features music composed by legendary maestro Ilaiyaraaja. Produced by Rajiv Chilaka and Meghhaa Chilakka, “Mareechaka” is slated for release on May 29, 2026.
