Cinematography Minister Komatireddy warns Pawan Kalyan

Telangana Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has issued a stern warning to actor and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, stating that his films will not be allowed to screen in Telangana unless he apologises for his recent remarks.

Pawan Kalyan recently toured the Godavari districts, where he commented that the Konaseema region lost its greenery due to the “naradishthi” (evil eye) of Telangana politicians and people. The statement sparked strong political and public reactions.

Responding sharply, Komatireddy said the Telangana government would not remain silent if the honour of Telangana was insulted.

He emphasised that unless Pawan Kalyan issues an immediate public apology, his films will not be permitted to run in the state. He asserted that he was making this statement in his official capacity as Cinematography Minister.

Pawan Kalyan’s next release, Ustaad Bhagat Singh, is slated for a summer 2025 release, with its first single expected later this month.
