Telangana government has allowed the hike in admission rates of movie theaters. The government issued a G.O in this regard with immediate effect. Now, all multiplexes can hike the ticket rates to Rs 200 (maximum) in executive/regular class and Rs 300 (maximum) in Gold class.
The government has also brought in a new rule – all multiplexes should allot 20 % of tickets to lower class but it didn’t mention the price for lower class. The rates for single screens are also hiked. Single screens in Hyderabad can now sell the ticket rates upto Rs 120 (maximum) and Rs 80 in all municipalities in the state
