Mrunal clarifies on her confession of suicidal tendencies

Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur is making her Telugu debut. She is acting opposite Dulquer Salmaan in director Hanu Raghavapudi’s new love story. The film’s shooting is in progress.

Mrinal Thakur created a controversy with her recent media interview. She confessed that she had suicidal tendencies when she was in college. She, however, urged the media not to twist her statements.

She revealed about her breakups as well. Mrunal’s statements created a furor.

“A recent interview I did – in which I spoke candidly about my childhood, and about my journey as an actor so far – appears to have been extracted out of context to highlight one sensitive topic that has been completely misunderstood and sensationalized by several media outlets.

While I stand by the interview that I did, incidents like these make public figures wary of speaking honestly to the media. I urge you to watch the interview in full, and I request my friends in the media not to quote me out of context or cull out portions that might make for sensational headlines,” she wrote on her Instagram page.
