Mrunal Thakur promises big career shift now

Mrunal Thakur has hinted at a significant turning point in her career, expressing her intent to focus on more performance-driven roles going forward.

The actress, who has earned appreciation for her work in Telugu cinema, has often been seen in comparatively less impactful roles in Bollywood, many of which leaned towards glamour rather than substance. In her upcoming Hindi film “Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai,” xshe is once again set to appear in a glamorous avatar.

However, filmmaker Nag Ashwin, who shares a strong professional bond with Mrunal, recently encouraged her to take on more meaningful characters. He reportedly expressed surprise at her choosing lighter roles despite her proven acting ability.

Responding to his message while wishing him on his birthday (April 23), Mrunal made it clear that she is ready to take her career in a new direction. She acknowledged his support, stating that his belief continues to inspire her journey and push her to aim higher.

She also revealed that 2026 will mark a defining phase in her career, indicating a conscious move towards stronger and more impactful performances. She wrote: “Your belief fuels my journey. I’ll rise, I will deliver, and I will make you proud. 2026…the shift begins.”

On the work front, Mrunal was recently seen in Dacoit. Reports also suggest that she may be part of Allu Arjun’s upcoming project “Raaka,” although an official confirmation is awaited.
