My role is named after my father: Vijay Deverakonda

Vijay Deverkonda declares that his father is the actual star of their family. “When director Parasuram Petla told me the story of ‘Family Star’, it struck a chord with me and I felt a connection with it. Also, I asked the filmmaker to name my role in the film after my father, Govardhan Rao, because he is the true family star in my family,” Vijay Deverakonda stated.

The handsome actor, his leading woman Mrunal Thakur, and producer Dil Raju spoke with the media as part of the promotions for “Family Star,” which is set to be released on April 5th.

Dil Raju noted that the day is significant in his life because ‘Dil’, the film that gave him the fame, was also released on April 5, 2003.

“21 years later, another of my productions is set to be released on the same day. I cordially welcome the whole media fraternity to attend the special premiere screening with their families. I am that confident in the film’s success,” Dil Raju stated.

Vijay Deverakonda also discussed his middle-class upbringing and how he used to ask his father for various items to buy for him during the summer vacation.
