“Chhaava,” starring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna, became a giant blockbuster in North India. Recently, Telugu saw the film’s dubbed version, which generated decent revenue.
Clashes in a city have now made “Chhaava” headlines a month after its theatrical release.
Violent clashes erupted in Nagpur following a demonstration by Hindu groups Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad demanding the removal of Aurangzeb’s tomb.
Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis linked the unrest to the recent release of the film ‘Chhava,’ suggesting it fueled public anger against Aurangzeb. Curfew has been imposed, and 50 individuals have been arrested in connection with the violence.
