Director Nandini Reddy is riding high on the success of “Maa Inti Bangaaram”, her second hit with Samantha after “Oh! Baby”.
One of Telugu cinema’s most successful women directors, Nandini made her directorial debut with “Ala Modalaindi”. However, her journey in the film industry began much earlier. She started as an assistant director, working with Gunnam Gangaraju and Krishnavamsi during the late 1990s.
At a recent event, legendary comedian Brahmanandam put Nandini in a humorous spot while recalling their long association. “I know Nandini from the days she worked as an assistant during ‘Little Soldiers’. How many years has it been?” he asked.
Caught off guard, Nandini smiled and admitted it had been a long time but cleverly avoided mentioning the exact number of years, drawing laughter from the audience.
Actor Brahmaji, who was also on stage, added to the fun by joking that if Nandini revealed the year “Little Soldiers” was made, she would end up revealing her age as well. The light-hearted exchange left everyone in splits and became one of the most entertaining moments of the event.
