Three months have passed since the first lockdown was imposed but it is still unclear when would cinema halls reopen. As the uncertainty continuing, Bollywood middle-range movies are opting for direct digital release. But Telugu film stars strictly saying no to OTT release.
In Telugu, only small-budgeted movies and films that have no star value are skipping theatrical window. Nani’s ‘V’, which was slated for March 25 release, is refusing offers from digital streaming apps. Nani has once again confirmed that he is waiting for theaters to reopen. He said he is waiting to watch the film with all of us together.
“Pic from the first-day shoot of #V. Waiting for the day we will all watch it together .. until then .. stay safe :),” he posted.
‘V’ featuring Nani, Sudheer Babu, Aditi Rao, and Nivetha Thomas is directed by Indraganti and produced by Dil Raju. The film wrapped up its entire production formalities three months ago.
Nani says he’s still waiting for movie theaters to reopen to release his ‘V’ in the cinema halls. He doesn’t want it to go for an OTT way.
