Nani vs Varun Tej: Box-office battle confirmed?

It has now almost confirmed that Nani and Varun Tej will be battling out at the box-office next month. Though both of them have tried to avert a direct fight, there is no option for them. With ‘Saaho’ locking August 30 as its release date and Suriya’s ‘Bandobast’ confirming September 20 as its date, there is only one choice for both the heroes to opt for the second week of September.

Varun Tej’s ‘Valmiki’ has already announced its date as September 13. The makers of Nani’s ‘Gang Leader’ have not officially announced it but the trade has been informed that the movie would hit the screens on 12th September. Both these thrillers will fight at the ticket window.

‘Valmiki’ is being directed by Harish Shankar and produced by 14 Reels Plus. It has Pooja Hegde in a key role. Atharva Murali and Manjusha are playing the other lead roles. This is a remake of a Tamil hit movie ‘Jigarthanda’ directed by Karthik Subbaraju. This is a dark comedy.

On the other hand, ‘Gang Leader’ is revenge drama with a dose of comedy. It is a crime comedy. Being directed by Vikram Kumar, the film features five women in different roles.
