In a drugs case, the Telangana State Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TSNAB) has summoned actor Navdeep. The officials served the actor with a notice under Section 41A of the Criminal Procedure Code on Thursday, directing him to appear at their office on September 23.
Navdeep was asked to answer questions about his alleged links with drug peddlers. When police apprehended two drug dealers, they allegedly revealed Navdeep’s name.
Despite Navdeep’s request for anticipatory bail, the court ordered that the actor be questioned rather than arrested.
Officials say they will eventually get court permission to arrest the actor because they have gathered enough evidence to prove he has connections with these drug peddlers.
Navdeep had previously denied these allegations.
