Nayanthara agreeing to promotions is a promotion!

Nayanthara may be one of the biggest stars in the industry, but she also carries a long-standing reputation for staying away from film promotions, often leaving producers struggling on the publicity front. She has maintained this stance for years.

However, director Anil Ravipudi appears to have achieved what many could not: getting Nayanthara to change her approach.

She surprised everyone earlier by featuring in a promotional video announcing her inclusion in “Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu” at the film’s launch. In the film, she plays the female lead opposite Megastar Chiranjeevi.

Now, Nayanthara has taken the surprise a step further by appearing in yet another promotional video as the film gears up for its theatrical release on January 12, 2026. In the newly released clip, she is seen asking Anil Ravipudi why he did not approach her again for promotions. A visibly shocked Anil responds with a witty line: “You agreeing to movie promotions itself is a promotion for me as a director.”

The light-hearted video is part of the film’s ongoing promotional campaign. So far, “Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu” has unveiled three songs, with “Meesala Pilla” emerging as a massive chartbuster, crossing 100 million views.
