Anushka Shetty ‘Nishabdham’ has already completed its censor formalities. Now it’s Tamil and Malayalam versions titled ‘Silence’ has also got UA Certificate from the censor board. Director Hemanth Madhukar says the board members asked him to release it in theaters. There have been reports that the film will hit the OTT platforms directly. In this backdrop, the director tweeted that the board members appreciated his work and suggested him to release it in theaters first.
“Both our films #nishabdham Telugu and #silence given U/A censor certificate and I am overwhelmed by the response of the #cencorboard panel members and my sincere thanks to them for there advice to release the film first in theatre,” he tweeted.
‘Nishabdham’ has Anushka Shetty and Madhavan as the lead pair. Anjali, Shalini Panday, and Subbaraju play key roles. Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad, the thriller is largely shot in the USA. It was planned as a simultaneous release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages but the coronavirus outbreak and lockdown period have forced the makers to look for OTT platforms.
